Gulf War
Tank Unit is 18 miles from
Kuwait's Border
Tribal member Todd Dean Galindo, 20, of Yakima,
Washington, recently joined his fellow troops in the
Persian Gulf for the task of driving Iraqi President,
Saddam Hussein, and his elite Republican Guard from
Kuwait. Hussein's armies invaded Kuwait nearly 6
months ago and Galindo and the 66 Infantry arived in
Saudi Arabia soon after. Galindo's tank unit is stationed
in Saudi Arabia just 30 kilometers (or 18.6 miles) from
Kuwait's border.
Galindo's hometown is Yakima, Washington and his
parent's are Iola and Diego Galindo. Galindo went to
high school in Yakima. He is the grandson of Betty
Riggs Rogers, the great grandson of Andrew and
Amanda Riggs and the great, great grandson of Solo
mon Riggs. Galindo joined the Rangers right out of
high school.
