Grand Ronde depending on the response of this
questionnaire. The meeting will be for the purpose of
determining the interest in Grand Ronde for establish
ing a chapter of the Northwest Indian Veterans Associa
tion (NJ.VA)

Energy Program
Looking For Eligible
Native Americans
The Energy Programs at Community Action Agency of
Yamhill Co. and Mid-Willamette Valley Community
Action Agency are looking for eligible Native American
households for the Low income Weatherization Pro
gram. Weatherization measures that are eligible for installa
tion include general heat waste items such as caulking
and weatherstripping, furnace efficiency modifications,
attic insulation, wall insulation, underfloor insulation,
and storm windows. The sole purpose of this program is
to lower energy usage and therefore help lower your
utility bills. To be eligible for the weatherization
assistance program your household income must meet
the guidelines set forth by the federal government.

These funds used to weatherize your home are pro
vided by the federal government in grant form. There is
no cost to the homeowner or renter, and at no time is

JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chemawa Indian School, Salem, Oregon has an
opening for a Recreation Assistant $6.19 hr. position
assists Recreation Specialist in planning and conducting
the Chemawa Recreation Program. Requires a high
school diploma or equivalent and an updated Water
Safety Instructor (W.S.I.) certificate certified by the
American Red Cross. For application and information

Chemawa is also recruiting for an Intermittent Clerk
position. Employee will have a regular schedule and will
work on call. Requirements are high school graduate or
equivalent. Must be proficient in typing and have six
months experience or have completed one year of full
time study in business, secretarial, commercial junior
