Chairman's Report

Dear Friends:
It's been about six months since my last Chairman's
report and I have to apologize for the silence. As you
can imagine though, we have been very busy with tribal
affairs both locally and at the national level.
On the local front we have some good news to report.
We were recently notified by the Office of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) that we will be funded to
build our first facility here in Grand Ronde. Last winter
wc wrote and submitted a Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) for $250,000.00 to build a Com
munity Center. This facility will house most of our
community services, but specifically our Elders Services,
some additional medical services and provide classroom
