POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Yamhill County Health Department issued a
statement Tuesday afternoon stating it had investigated
all 10 cases reported by Molloy. An analysis of the City
of Sheridan's public water system by the state Health
Division's drinking water section found that "proper
procedures had been and still are continuously in place
to deactivate giardia in the water supply," the health
department said in its written statement.
The state also recommended that a complete filtration
of Sheridan's water system be done. "This will be
accomplished shortly," according to the county health
department.
The report came to the following conclusion:
"There is no reason to believe at this time there is any
relationship between the current case (a recent case
reported to the county on Sept. 5), or subsequent cases,
and the adequacy of water treatment in the Sheridan
water system..."

Responsible for general repairs and maintenance;
supervise maintenance staff.

- 2 years experience in general building maintenance;
supervisory experience a plus.
Must have knowledge of monor electrical, plumbing,

DRUGALCOHOL OUTPATIENT COUNSELOR
PERMANENT FULL-TIME

SALARY: $15,000 - $20,000 D.O.E
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the delivery of effective
treatment services for the membership of the Confeder
ated Tribes of Grand Ronde; responsible for participa
tion in the development and design of effective treat
ment and prevention activities, and community, and for
overall quality assurance activities.
DUTIES:
Direct activities toward specialized treatment and
rehabilitation as follows:
1. Provide client assessments that shall include personal
history, alcohol abuse history, physical, social,
psychological, and spiritual evaluations;
2. Develop and implement individual comprehensive
alcoholism
treatment plans based on the assessment;
3. Implement specific individual and group counseling
sessions
for the client and hisher family,
4. Utilize the various community resources as may be
needed to
assist the client in plans for education, vocational
training, employment or housing;
5. Help client schedule activities for personal, social and
emotional rehabilitation;
6. Coordinate and serve as liaison with courts, proba
tion -
officers, andor social service agencies, as needed;
7. Maintain all patient records in accordance with the
policies
of the Tribe and Indian Health Services;
8. Perform counseling duties in all phases of out-patient
counseling;
9. Organize and establish self-help groups;
10. Maintain and submit all required reports and forms;
and
11. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification as an alcohol counselor, and 3
years
experience as an alcohol counselor;
- Past experience working with Indian people preferred;
- Demonstrated knowledge of AA, ALANON,
ALATEEN and other ;
community programs;
- Must possess valid Oregon Driver's License;
- Have adequate transportation;
- Must possess current CPR certification, or obtain
certification within 30-days of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years sobriety required.
