FT90 BUDGET ISSUE mm THE CONFEDERATED TRIBES OF THE GRAND RONDE COMMUNITY OF OREGON - GRAND RONDE BUDGET PROPOSAL FY 1990 - (OCTOBER 1, 1989 - SEPTEMBER 30, 1990) Dear Tribal Members, OnbehalfoftheTribal Council, U is aprivilege topresent toyou the followingbudget proposal for the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon for Fiscal Year (FY) 1990. This budget is the result of considerable input from each of the tribal programs, committees and the Tribal Council, and is being presented to you for your consideration and comment Each year we prepare budgets for each of the tribal programs and activities which wiU have an impact on the tribal community. In the past we have done this through an internal budget planning process where program staff were required to submit budget proposals for Council approval which would then be presented too funding agency for consideration. This year we areaddmgnewprogramsandmcludingadditionalreqirementspri As a result of the re-establishment of the reservation last Septemberwe are now able to provide additional tribal services to the community through the creation of new tribal programs. In addition, we are able to begin the development of specific programs which will provide for the economic and social stability of the Tribe for many years to come. The purpose of this publication is to present program plans for next fiscal year and to solicit public comment from the tribal community regarding these programs and plans. Written testimony may be submitted anytime from August 7, 1989 through September 7, 1989. All written testimony must be signed and either mailed or hand delivered to the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, P. O. Box 38, Grand Ronde, Oregon 97347, Attention: Jackie Colton. Oral testimony may be provided on August 25, 1989 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Grand Ronde Grade School All testimony is limited to enrolled members of the Tribe who are eighteen years of age or older by August 7, 1989. Information contained in this publication has been summarized into specific areas which reflect general budget categories. Those with comments wishing specific budget detail or program information should contact Jackie Cotton at the tribal office for assistance. Please take the time to review this information and feel free to comment on what your Tribal Council is proposing for FY 90.
