I consider this a great honor for my I father, "Barney Reibach, served as Chairman olourTribal Council for several years prior to the termination era. He aggressively fought against termination, knowing that it would be a great nation of people. I believe in honesty and openness, principles I vow to uphold. I will uphold our tribal constitution and work towards the economic stability of the tribe. In this day and age, we must retain our cultural heritage and balance the reality of providing for ourselves, families and tribe. I do know the Grand Ronde area and the logging industry, that has been the lifeblood of the community. I was born and raised n Grand Ronde, attending the Agency School ft and graduated from Willamina High School. I and my Y family now reside in Tillamook where I am a truck driver. I am married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I know the importance of family and have responsibly cared for them. I am currently running for Tribal-Council I was elected for Interii Council in 1983 and I served on the Tribal Council u last year. I have also served the Tribe as the Chairman of the PowWow Committee from 1987 through 1989. I an also oii the Board 61 Direcforsof rndiah"Child"Wclf; Association. The Association covers Oregon, Washi ton, California, Idaho and Montana. I feel that the Tribes' greatest resource is our childi I would like to see the Bureau of Indian Affairs give Indian Child Welfare a higher rating on our Indian Priority System. I would look for different ways to ti and improve our Indian Health Program. I would al like to see our Tribal Housing Program get started, also feel that our Education Program in the last couj of years has been successful and I hope to see that it continues.
