Jeneral Manager to negotiate with Mr. Crouch to

Jelson Witt, Superintendent at Siletz to request a ,
epresentativo from the Bureau to be present at the next
Council meeting to discuss the process for putting land
ito Trust. Discussidi) wll be held at the next meeting

. Section 5 and Section 7- IRA Tribe , IRA Act, This
involves a possible request for Secretary of Interior to
proclaim those areas as part of the Reservation. Jim
Wolfe explained process of placiing land into trust. A.
Land Consolidation plan s necessary for the process to
begin. Wolfe explained that the authority to approve all
of this documentation is at the BIA office here in our
area. Wolfe said that he could see no problem with our
land acquisition as most Tribes usually have.

CORPORATION APPOINTMENTS: ; ;
, Mark handed out a listing of the Corporation members
, agreed upon by the Council Members at July 10 meet- '
ing. Mike Mason pointed out there was an error in the
number of Corporation Committee members in the
Artigl of Incorporation. It states one mcmbcr 'of the7
must be a Council Member. This would be in effect for
2 years as of 1988. It was agreed that the Chairman be
the Council representative. Mark told the Council he
.would not take a position as an officer on the Corpora
tion. Ray McKnight moved to approve all 3 non-tribal . .-.
members as Corporation members.' Russ seconded the :
motion. Motion carried. Kathryn Harrison moved to
approve Donna Stronach. Val seconded the motion. "
Motion carried. Candy moved to approve Mike Griffen.
Ray seconded motion. Motion carried. Ray moved to
approve Diane Stogsdill. Val seconded the motion.
Motion carried. Ray moved for Marlf Merely to serve
on the board. Val seconded the motion. Motion '
carried. Kathryn moved for Alvin LaChance and 1
alternate. Russ seconded the motion. Motion carried.

TIMBER COMMITTEE:
The following applications were submitted to Council:
Darrel Mercier - Reynold Leno Larry Brandon - Gene ;
LaBonte. ;
The "Huckleberries" (Russ and Ray) indicated interest
in serving on the Timber Committee also. Candy moved
to approve the four applicants, Russ and Ray will serve
on the Committee also. Val seconded the motion, the
Huckleberries abstained, motion carried unanimously. ' '
Discussion ensued as to just what the Committee's
duties would be. One aspect agreed on is to make policy
recommendations to Council. Council set meeting date
July 25, 1989 at Forestry Office at 6:00 p.m.. Commit
tee will review minor forest products ordinance.
MASTER PLAN:
' ; Contract with Glen Crouch Mike Mason had three
additions he recommended be included into the contract
between Mr. Crouch and the Tribes This regards Mr.
Crouch do a land Market Value Sludy on lands Tribe is ;
:interted in purchasing ifl Grand Ronde Community.
Question arose about 5 year duration this is standard
duration most land appraisers use. Mike had following
recommendations to include into contract a 5 year
duration, specific time frame, and Standard Clauses
independent ownership conflict of interest -Indemnification.
Candy moved to approve the Contract with Glen
Crouch, with Mike's recommendation included. Motion
seconded by Val, motion carried.
