These funds are a 75-25 match and are for the purpose of "for profit" endeavors. The maximum grant amount for any one application will be limited to no more than $50,000. In order to fairly administer the grant monies, the Agency will have an "open" application period to 4:30 p.m. on March 28, 1989. Any application packet received after closing time on March 28, 1989 will not be considered for funding. In the review process the following factors will be reviewed: . 1. The completeness of the packet, including a demon strated knowledge of the business and evidence of ablity of the applicant to engage in their proposed endeaver; 2. The type of business and likelihood of successfailure in the current market situation; 3. Willingness of the applicant to participate in the Bureau program, including adequate timely reporting measures; 4. Type in impact the proposed business will have on the local reservationservice area economy, including number of employees, sites, and other business impact; : . V" 5. Necessity of grant to assist applicant in securing required funding (i.e. the grant is a necessary portion of the total packet, not just a means of reducing individual contribution). The following priorities may be considered by the Committee: 1. First priority will be given to individuals; 2. Applicants who have not previously received grants will have priority over previous recipients; 3. Members of the Tribes served by the Siletz Agency (Grand Ronde, Siletz, Cow Creek, Coos, Lower Umpqua and the Siuslaw Tribes). (WecouldgetamiUionforiv)... Thank-You again! A special thanks to Jim Butler who helps us all the time. He builds pallets, stocks the line, carries out food and cooks for us. This man is a non Indian and donates about 30 hours a month to our program. He is the husband of Wilma Butler a Grand Ronde Tribal member. As she saysThat's My Man! Gene Hudson is another Grand Ronde Tribal member who puts in 30 hours a month of donated time. We appreciate his help. He is a Tribal elder and likes to entertain our clients with stories when they come in. (Usually about the one that got away.)
