TRIBAL STAFF PROVIDES OUTREACH SERVICES
TRIBAL CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
Dear Fellow Tribal Members,
The Tribal Council will be meet
ing with the West Valley Chamber
of Commerce in late March. The
meeting is to discuss issues re
lating to the establishment of a
reservation. We hope to have
the support of the Tillamook and
Yamhill County Comisssioners
very soon. After that, we hope
to meet with the congresssional
delegation to see what else
needs to be done to get our Res
ervation Bill introduced in Con
gress. Tribal Council members, Kathryn
Harrison. Brad Rowing and my
self, attended a Yamhill eco
nomic development advisory com
mitttee meeting in early March.
The meeting was to explore new
avenues of economic development.
On March 12 & 13. 1987. I at
tended a Dispute Resolution
Workshop sponsored by Willam
etteo. University.. The Workshop
was conducted to train people on
effective negociatlon proce
dures .
The Tribe's administrative, en
rollment, fish and wildlife and
social services staff will be
doing outreach services in the
six county service area during
the coming months.
The Enrollment Department will
be issuing Identification Cards
to tribal members eleven years
and older.
The I.D. cards will include a
photograph, name, address, en
rollment number and blood de
gree. The cards are to be used
by tribal members to access
tribal services and will be '
a member's license for hunting,
fishing and gathering purposes.
The Fish and Wildlife Program
will be issuing annual. stickers
tribal members will need to have
a valid license for hunting,
fishing and gathering. The
stickers will go on the back of
the I.D. cards .
The Social Services Program and
Administrative staff will be
conducing needs surveys. The
surveys will help the tribe plan
for tribal needs in the areas of
housing, social services,
health, education and economic
development .
Tribal members are encouraged to
take the time to complete the
surveys so the tribe can plan
better to meet tribal needs.

reach services in Washington.
Yamhill and Polk counties in the
month of May. Locations are
needed with little or no rental
costs involved. If any tribal
member knows of a location in
"these areas, please let Margo
know.

IDENTIFICATION CARD ISSUANCE
REGULATIONS
The Grand Ronde Tribal Council
has approved the following Iden
tification Card Issuance Regula
tions in Resolution 195-87.
1) Photo I.D. cards will be
issued to enrolled members who
are age 11 and over.
2) An enrollment update form
must be completed when the I.D.
card is Issued .
3) No hats or sunglasses may be
worn when the I.D. photo is
taken.
4) The first I.D. card will be
Issued at no cost to a tribal
member. A $2.00 fee will be
charged for any replacement
cards issued. No replacement
charge for elders, age 55 and
over .
