HOUSING IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM INFORMATION The fiscal year 1987 Housing Improvement Program eligibility guidelines have changed from those utilized during Fy 1986. The ranking criteria for applications will incorporate poverty income guidelines in determining eligibility. Households which exceed the poverty income guidelines for the family size will no longer be eligible for H.I. P. services. All current applications will be re-ranked utilizing the new criteria and those who do not meet the income guidelines will be notified of their status. Housing service committments will be made as soon as the Fy 1987 appropriations are finalized. INCOME LIMITS The following income limits are to be used in determining eligibility for assistance under the Housing Improvement Program. They are derived from the Poverty Income Guidelines published in the Federal Register March 9, 1985. We have calculated 1257. as HIP eligibility income limits. A copy of the referenced portion of the Federal Register is appended.
