POW-WOW COMMITTEE REPORT Many of our Tribal members and friends have made donations of money and time. As of August 7, our donations total $185.00. The Pow-Wow committee Thanks each and every one of you. We are asking for a $1.00 donation per Tribal member for the Pow-Wow Fund. If you wish to bring a donation In person Pow-Wow treasurer, Margo George, is available at the Depot office. Make check payable to Pow-Wow Fund. The Pow-Wow Committee has been working on fund raising as of August 7. Our fund raising has totaled $944.29. Some of the fund raising events held since May, include: Raffels, bake sales, bingo games, rummage sales, and dinners. If you have any ideas, or can participate in fund raising, let us know! Some of the raffel prizes for this years Pow-Wow include: Pendleton blanket, Afghans, Kachina dolls, 10" B & W acdc T.V., wall clock, wall hangings, shawls, and an upholstered wing-backed chair. All raffle tickets are $1.00, and you need not be present to win. Our committee is asking for donated items to be used for future Bingo games and the give away. Please help! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS for: Kitchen help, meal servers, raffel sales, security, grounds keeping, arena set-up, etc. Please help!! You may write or call and ask for Margo George. She will take your name and for ward any messages to the Pow-Wow committee. The traditional feast will be served from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We are asking for donated cakes and pies for dessert. Please use disposable con tainers. The kitchen will be open early on August 23rd, so you may , . , your desserts when you arrive. There is a great need for housing for out-of-town visiting members. If you are willing to board a guest or have room for a tent or trailer, please let Margo know.
