RED WILLOW ALCOHOL CENTER
The Red Willow Alcohol Center is located in Gervais, OR near Salem. This alcohol
center was formerly known as Sweathouse Lodge which was located at Cascadia. The
program consists of a 90 day residential treatment program and an out-patient program.
If you are in neod of these services you can call the tribal health office and we can
assist you in making arrangements or you may call Red Willow directly at 792-3696.

FOSTER CARE RECRUITMENT
The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon is seeking foster homes,
if your are interested please call the Tribal health office and we will provide you
with information, and assist in the certification process.
Education
During the months of June, July, August and September, the Education Program
received a total of 36 inquiries concerning Higher Education, Adult Vocational
Training, Employment Assistance and Adult Educational Services and Assistance.
A total of 86 application packets were mailed or distributed to potential students
for the 1986-87 school year. Approximately 33 of these applicants began steps
toward finalizing enrollment procedures at various Oregon colleges, universities,
community colleges and training institutions for the upcoming year.
Reviewing applications, it appears the CTGR will have approximately 9 students enrolled
in Higher Education programs; 13 enrolled in Vocational Training and 10 receiving
Adult Educational Assistance (GEDABE) for 1986-87.
Results of the 1985-86 school year show the following:
of the 9 students who started (Higher Education) school during Fall '85 Term or
Winter '86 term, A finished out the year
of the 7 students who started (Employment Assistance-Adult Vocational Training)
schooltraining in the Fall '85 or Winter '86 terms, only 2 finished out the year;
no students participating in Adult Education classes (GDEABEBasic skills, etc.)
during Fall '85 but 5 students were enrolled in Adult Education classes by July
1986.
I'i'lents who haven't yet completed their applications for tribal assistance by Sept.
., 1986 are being placed on a waiting list. A deadline of November 15, 1986 is being
set for Winter term enrollment. For more information regarding winter term assis
