Unfortunately, we do not get more than a 24 hour notice when the trucks
come In, however, the food distribution days are regularly scheduled and
advertised in this newsletter.
We would like to compile a list of volunteers whom we can contact on
short notice and would be willing to spend a few hours helping unload the
trucks when they come in. Additionally, we need a list of volunteers
willing to assist with the food distribution at the Salem warehouse during
the scheduled distribution days.
If you can participate at any level, please call Barbara at 879-5215 and
let her know so we can develop a list of contacts.
One of our requirements for participation in this program is to provide an
in-kind match and this is done solely from volunteer help at the
warehouse. Please help us keep this vital program available to our
members by offering your valuable assistance.
VERIFICATION REMINDER
During the programs annual inspection we were found lacking documents or
statements that verify client resources and income. We need to remind
clients and prospective applicants that they must provide proof of wages,
unemployment, social security and all other income. PLEASE BRING PROOF
OF ALL INCOME TO YOUR NEXT SCHEDULED DISTRIBUTION APPOINTMENT.
