I cannot stress enough the importance of asking you the membership, to
write of support to your Congressional delegation, so let your voice and
feelings be heard! If you need their addresses, your local Post Office
should have them available.
For all of you fellow members who may be having problems with the Indian
Health Service, for example, health bills not getting paid, or any kind of
trouble you may experience dealing with IHS. please write letters to the
Health Director. This way the Tribal Council can deal with the IHS staff
and find a solution to these problems effectively.
My best regards,

General Manager's Report
There seems to be some confusion regarding the reports (W-2 forms) of
income earned by the council and staff. I would like to clarify this
issue When the tribe was restored a new federal employment number was
needed to differentiate the tribe from the corporation. IRS failed to
provide such a number. The federal number simply identifies one employer
from another. This number is used for filing all income reports to the
, . V..Jayumen8 made by the en,Ployer and employee are credited and are
identified by that number.
This error was caught again in 1985. After discussion with
representatives of the Internal Revenue Service the following was agreed
upon: Instead of using the existing corporation number to file all W-2
forms for the year, IRS provided a separate number to the Tribal Council
The income earned by tribal council and their staff would be reported in
two ways; first, all income earned (as employees of the council) from
January 1, 1985 to September 30. 1985 would be reported on the old
corporate number; second, income earned by council and their employees
after September 30. 1985 and to December 31, 1985 would be assigned to a
new number which identifies the tribe as an employer
All Council and staff who worked those periods received two W-2 forms
ne on the corporate number and one for the income earned after September
