I have been mailing an Information sheet on Tribal benefits to the new
enrollee's, along with their numbers. If you would like one, I will be
happy to mall you one. I also have order forms for the Vital Records Unit
in Portland available on request.
Many Tribal members have requested information on their family
background. I have been compiling a resource library. I would be
interested in any old Tribal records available for copying. Please call
me if you may have some records in your possession. If you have any
questions on the enrollment procedure, be sure to call or write to me in
care of this office. I will be glad to help you as much as I can.

Educationally Speaking...
The Adult Vocational Training (AVT) Program for the Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde is currently assisting four students whose areas of study
include; nursing, electronic engineering technician, legal secretarial,
and dlesel mechanics. In the area of Higher Education the program
currently assists eight students who are pursuing degrees in the areas of
business administration, elementary education, accounting, humanities,
communications and nursing.
During the months of January, February, and March, approximately 32
inquiries regarding AVT and Higher Education assistance were submitted.
Application and procedural information is currently being disseminated to
all interested individuals.
Students considering application for AVT and Higher Education need to be
aware of timelines and necessary steps which must be followed. People
interested in applying for school or training should contact the Education
Specialist, Dean Azule as soon as possible; call 879-5253.
Let's all offer a word of encouragement to all tribal students as they
continue with their studies.
