My Dear Fellow Tribal Members:
The Tribal Council has finished up on the final draft of the Grand Ronde Reservation
Plan. Council Members, Kathryn Harrison, Merle Leno, and I, have been presenting the
final drafts to public and private agencies concerned.
On the 6th of December, Kathryn, Merle and I met with Colleen Darcy, a staff member
for Congressman Les Aucoin. In the staff office, hung paintings from a Portland area
art gallary. Ms. Darcy asked us if we had any tribal members who are artistically
talented. In early March of 86 they will have a vacancy for art works. She asked
us to spread the word around to all of you, if you could submit any art work for display
in Mr. AuCoin's office. I am asking all of you, who are art oriented, to submit any
kind of art work, so they can display them in their office. If anyone is interested,
please contact Carmen Haug or Kathryn Harrison at the Depot tribal office for further
information, 879-5215.
