Youth Employment;
Starting june 18, 1984, the Tribe will be employing 11 Summer Youth workers through a
contract with the Mid-Valley Jobs Council. The youth will be working in the local area
until August 17, 1984. There will be three major worksites. 1. Tribal Office ( Depot ).
1. Greenhouse 3. CemetaryTribal grounds.
1. Depot i
a) Scraping off old paint
b) Preparation and minor repair
c) Using scrapers, paint brushes & rollers
d) Exterior painting of Depot
2. Greenhouse:
a) Planting starter plants
b) Construction of cold frames and starting trays
c) Assist in Plant preparation for local market
d) Provide closely monitored daily care of plants ( watering, etc . )
3. GroundskeeperMaintenancc:
a) Mowing lawns at the TribalOff iceBall field
b) Up-keep of Cementary grounds
c) Painting fences restrooms
d) Watering Lawns and exterior grounds and building clean up
