A. (PORTLAND OFFICE) On March 29, 19$ enrollment clerk, Cheryl Carl and assistant enrollment clerk Barbara Merci Don Hudson, tribal planner, along with committee members, Nora Kimsey, Ivanetta Cook, Lois Butler, Margo George, Marie Schmidt met with Bill Smith at the Portland area office where he put on a enrollment workshop. The primary goal of this workshop was to get the committee fa: ilar with the procedures in starting to process applications under the Act. Bill handed out packets that he had put together containing the Act itself along with deadline dates for the next two months that we will be complying to and all information needed to show the committe how to begin processing all eligible applicants under the Act. Bill gladly answered everyon who presented him with questions. This was quite an experience for all who attended the worl shop. An awful lot of material covered during the session of the workshop for us to start putting to use during the next few months as we prepare the updated roll for the publicatioi in the Federal Register in Washington, D.C, . Cheryl Carl Enrollment Clerk Indian Health Committee Report: The Indian Health Committee Volunteers are. John Liilard, Annabelle Hamm, Joyce Millsap, Ellen Campbell, Clarice Ellison and Ray McKnight. The Health Committee will be advisors to the Tribal Council on health needs of the people. We are taking a health survey to find the needs and would appreciate the cooperation of the Tribal members. The Health Committee will act as advocates for the health for Grand Ronde Tribal member. Advises the Service Unit Director and Indian Health Service of health concerns of Grand Ronde Tribal members through representation at the Service Unit Health Board meetings. in :: .. .. ':ttftffj
