TRIBAL COUNCIL
1982 proved to be a year of many changes & challenges for the Tribal Council. There
has been several changes in our nine seat Council, These changes have not hindered
the Council, Instead, the changes have given the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde
an oppertunity to draw upon new resources of knowledge within the tribe in making
decisions, overcoming obstacles, and meeting new challenges.
It is rewarding to see the involvement of new Tribal Council Members in commiting
themselves to the various sub-committees in the areas of.:iBUclget& Planning, Public
Relations , Enrollment, Evaluation, and Personnel, in addition to Fund Raising
Events, Tribal Council meetings, and other Organizational Meeting.
The General Membership actively participates in committees with the Tribal Council
in Enrollment, Fund Raising events, personal and the General Meeting held each month.
Matters of great importance are brought before the General Council k voted on by the
Tribal membership.
Dedication Commitment of the Tribal Council is and will continue to play a very
important role in reaching our goal of Restoration in the new year of 1983.
