The Bead and Craft Shop has been in operation for a month and is improving
each day.
A staff person from Small Tribes Organization of Western Washington
Business Development Office will be assisting Jackie Provost in areas
of marketing and development of the Tribal Enterprize.
There will be a free drawing each month winners name will be posted for
one month Nora Kimsey was the July winner.
Come in and sign up.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Tribal Council meets Thursday of each week. General Council meets
on the first Sunday of each month. Tribal Council Delegates will be
in Yakima, Washington, August 11, 12, 13, to attend the Affiliated
Tribes of Northwest Indians Conference. Camping space is available by
reservation NO.
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde! Tribal Council has selected
Northwest Consultants Inc. to do the Demographic Profile of the tribe.
This is in the process at the present time and should be completed in
mid-August.
The profile will be submitted to Mr. Aucoins1 Staff for review and
clarification. At that time we are prepared to request introduction of our
bill to congress.
We will continue to make contact with special interest groups to gain
their support and inform them of our intent.
Tribal Attorney Don Wharton, and, Restoration Co-Ordinator;:Elizabeth
Furse, are in Washington D.C. preparing for hearings on the Cow Creek band
of Uropqua Indians who had thier Bill for Recognition introduced by Rep.
Jim Weaver.
Don Whorten will return Monday August 2, 1982, and Ms. Furse will return
August 9,. 1982.
