    CONFEDERATED TRIBES OF GRAND RONDE INDIANS
FUNDING' PROFILE
The following are funded projects under which the Tribe is currently
operating and providing services to its members.
Administration for Native Americans - $180,000.00, a three year project to
strengthen tribal management through formulation of management plan,
restoration plan, comprehensive development plan and a statistical planning
document. This project began 9-1-81 and employs four tribal members.
Campaign for Human Development - $15,000.00, a one year project to organize
community, update tribal rolls and educate tribal members on restoration.
Church Women United - $5,000.00 one-time money to create a slide show on
termination and restoration. Slide show has been completed and is a vital
tool in educating both Indian and non-Indian people.
Chiles Foundation - $15,000.00 one year project to build a greenhouse for
economic development employing future technology. Project also aims to
train tribal youths in marketing and agriculture. Chiles Foundation also
donates the services of its bookkeeper to train a tribal member in accounting.
McKenzie River Gathering - $1,200. 00 one-time money to assist in equipment
purchases .
National Indian Luthern Board - $2,400.00 one year project to set up a
wholesale and retail ceramic bead shop with a gift and craft retail com
ponent. This project is expected to generate substantial economic develop
ment because it is expected that the 27 Title V programs of Oregon will
contract with the Tribe for craft supplies.
Food for Hunger Project - $800.00 for rototiller and supplies for garden to
supplement tribal elders' food supplies.
Boise Cascade - $200.00 per year general support.
Sitka Foundation - $1,000.00 for copy machine.
Oannet Foundation - $&, 500.00 To purchase new copier.
PENDING PROJECTS
United Methodists - $15,000.00 to double our greenhouse productivity.
Coalition for Human Needs - $5,000.00 to assist in restoration efforts.
Campaign for Human Development - Oregon - $15,000.00 second year of funding
for restoration.
Tribal Sovereignty - $3,000.00 for salary expense for bead and gift shop
project.
Chiles Foundation - $38,891.00 expansion of Agricultural Project Yamhill Co.
Economic Development - $3200.00 supplement to the Bead and -Craft Shop.
