SENIOR CITIZENS KEEP TRANSPORTATION?
We would like to remind you htat the Senior Citizen Transportation
program of The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Indians, is still an
on-going program. t '
For those of you that live within the Grand Ronde and the 'town area
of Villamina and have. not used our program, we have a 1973 Ford station wagon
available to you through appointments, that will take you to your requested
destination. For "your ; convenience and ours; we ask if possible, that you
please call and schedule your ride one or two days ahead of time.
The areas that our Tribal car usually covers are: Portland, Salem,
McMimiville, Dallas, Sheridan and Willamina. So, it you need a ride to
the doctor, dentist, optometrist, bank,' or need to do some general or
grocery shopping , r -give -us a call. We are listed as the Tribal' Council -Outreach
& Transportation, and our phone number is 879-5253. To schedule
an appointment or for additional information, call and ask for "Candy
RQbertson,; Transportation Driver.
" To those Senior Citizens that have, used our Transportation program,
we would like to extend our thank-you's to each and every one of you for
you donations;
OUTREACH
There will soon be gleaning for apples, and pears. We have blanks
at the Tribal office, and the driver of the Senior Citizen Tribal car
keeps blank copies on hand for anyone5 who is interested. The gleaning
program is for low income households of any age; young and middle aged
adults as well as Senior Citizens.: - !
The Tribal ; Council will have only a "limited wood program this
winter for low income senior citizens. However, if anyone has a
problem with their utility andor heating bills, give the Outreach
a call at the Tribal office. We-may have a helpful suggestion from
our various resources.
