Tribes hiring committee secretary
Interested in the interworking of
the tribal government? The Con-
federated Tribes of Warm Springs
seeks to hire a committee secretary,
working at the Tribal Council Of-
fice, administrative services center.
The position is a full time.
This position would work closely
with the second committee secre-
tary to cover the administrative
functions for the nine tribal com-
mittees.
Duties include scheduling com-
mittee meetings, taking meeting
minutes, reviewing committee cor-
respondence, setting up tours, as-
sisting committee chairs with pre-
paring reports and annual budget,
track budget, tracking attendance,
working with finance for travel,
purchase orders, payment authori-
zations, etc. Maintain files and
records. Work on special events for
committees and on occasion assist
with Tribal ouncil functions.
Skills: Type 45-50 words per
minute minimum.
Be comfortable with Microsoft
Word and Excel.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong organization skills are a
plus.
Some travel is required, a valid
Oregon driver’s license is required.
A background check is also re-
quired. Salary depends on experie
ce. The job is full time with ben-
efits. The position is open until
filled.

· The Museum at Warm Springs
Grant Resolution discussion with
Elizabeth Woody and Olney Patt Jr.:
Motion by Jim adopting Resolu-
tion No. 13,170. That the Museum
at Warm Springs is a priority and
hereby approves the preparation
and submission of a grant applica-
tion by the Museum to the Spirit
Mountain Community Fund Tribal
Grant Program for $100,000 for
the hiring of contractors to continue
fulfilling essential museum needs.

Youth track meet next week
The Wings Invitational
Youth Track Meet is coming
up on Tuesday, August 13
starting at 6 p.m.
The Invitational compe-
titions will be in age groups:
Two to 5 years. Six to 9
y e a r s ; a n d 1 0 - 1 2 y e a r s.
Events are:
50 meters. 100 meters. 400
meters. The Standing Long
Jump, and the Long Jump. The
Softball Throw, and the T-Ball
Throw.
The Invitational is hosted by
Warm Springs Prevention, Af-
tercare-JCP, and Suicide Pre-
vention.
