    Youth Job Fair with 20-plus companies
The Warm Springs Community
Action Team this spring will host
a Youth Job Fair with more than
20 companies on hand who are
hiring young people for summer
jobs.
This will be a great chance for
tribal youth to find summer em-
ployment or an internship, adding
opportunities to the summer youth
jobs on the reservation, which at
times are limited.
The Community Action Team
Youth Job Fair will be at the gym-
nasium of the former elementary
school on Friday, April 12, a non-
school day.
The goal is to host it this day to
offer the youth a chance to come
in and apply for their summer job
early, said Sara Dowty, WSCAT
Technology Workforce Analyst.
The job fair will offer summer
employment to the youth ages 14-
24 years. An adult job fair will fol-
low, date pending, perhaps in May.

The Community Action Team is
hosting a number of cellular net-
work sign-up events, offering a va-
riety of options for tribal residents.
AT&T will be in Warm Spirngs
at the Community Action Team
office this Friday, February 23 from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for sign-ups to an
AT&T plan.
AT&T also offers a bring-your-

Fire and Safety serves to fire
incidents on the reservation, and
also provides the emergency medi-
cal services, EMS and ambulance
service. About 80 percent of calls
and responses are to ambulance
situations, Chief Spaulding said.
The stations at Warm Springs and
Simnasho are manned 24-hours a
day with both fire and paramedic
personnel on duty.
The community outreach
projects are also a priority, from
own device with SIM card option
and cheaper plans.
The company offers a variety
of discounts for teachers and first
responders; plus military and vet-
erans discounts, student discounts,
and medical provider discounts.
AT&T offers an event $35 activa-
tion fee waiver for this sign-up
event.
They will bring a limited supply
of free phones for sign-up give-
aways. AT&T has 5G service in
Warm Springs, and a variety of af-
fordable plans.
WSCAT has been hosting cell
phone companies to help with em-
ployment, and offer connectivity
plans to the Warm Springs com-
munity. The companies also help
with bill support, questions and
answers, and phone support.

The team may not be able to
fix a specific issue, such as an elec-
trical wiring problem, but will help
