A new variant of the covid
virus has been circulating in
recent months. Meanwhile, a
new vaccine is available that
is effective against this most
recent variant.

tect yourself against covid as
the fall weather arrives, please
call the Warm Spirngs IHS
clinic at 541-553-1196.
The U.S. Centers for Dis-
ease Control is recommend-
ing the new covid vaccine for
anyone 6 months and older;
and experts say it is best to
take advantage of the protec-
tion sooner rather than later.
This fall and winter will see
three potential respiratory
contagious threats: Covid-19,
the seasonal flu, and RSV, the
Respiratory Syncytial Virus.
The vaccine for RSV is
recommended especially for
people 60 and over.
The flu shot is currently
available at the Warm Springs
Clinic.
For anyone who needs to
test for Covid-19, BinaxNOW
tests are available during the
workday at Warm Springs
Emergency Management
next to the old elementary
school, and also at Commu-
nity Health at the clinic. Af-
ter hours you can get a test
at Fire and Safety.
Home tests provided for
free from the federal gov-
ernment are no longer avail-
able.
