Museum receives $10,000 award
for short-term operations support
The Museum at War m
Springs received a $10,000
short-term grant as the museum,
like others, continues to recover
from the pandemic.
The recent grant is through
the Association of Tribal Ar-
chives, Libraries and Museums
American Rescue Plan—Hu-
manities Grants for Native In-
stitutions.
The grant opportunity is in-
tended to help Native cultural
institutions recover from the
pandemic and provide humani-
ties programming to their com-
munities.
Funds were provided by the
National Endowment for the
Humanitie, as part of the
American Rescue Plan Act of
2021.
The museum, also like oth-
ers across the U.S. and the
world, suffered a loss of oper-
ating revenue during the pan-
demic.
The Museum at War m
Springs was selected by an in-
dependent review panel, and is
one out of 34 awardees to re-
ceive funding.
