The ordinance protects the
Warm Springs community,
while providing due process for
all individuals.
The ordinance provides
for possible detention for
those who are infectious, or
possiblly infectious, but
choose to travel out of their
place of isolation or quaran-
tine.
For now the tribal organi-
zation remains closed, except-
ing essential employees and
services, through Monday,
August 3. Tribal Council will
review the situation this Fri-
day, July 31 with the Covid-
19 Response Team.
Water
The boil water notice is still
in effect for Warm Springs
Agency area.
A reminder
about the
2020 census
Every household should
complete a 2020 Census
Questionnaire. You can do
the Census online at:
my2020census.gov
Historically,
War m
Springs
has
been
undercounted. That means
less funding is available for
things like roads, schools
and health services.
If you haven’t already
completed the census for
your household, please do it
today. The census only once
every 10 years.
Drinking water distribu-
tion is Monday through Fri-
day 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
former elementary school.
Each individual can receive
one gallon of water per day.
Exchanges for five-gallon
water jugs are allowed.
To limit risk, the Emer-
gency Department water
distribution staff can no
longer refill water jugs or
gallons. Showers are avail-
able 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The water available for the
Agency community is still low.
Utilities construction is
scheduled to begin within the
next two weeks on the water
line. Be forewarned that wa-
ter will have to be shut off
for a day, or two days at the
most for repairs. The shut-
off days will be announced,
so all can prepare with stor-
age of water at home.
