mid morning, June 12
all documents, including
the water analysis re-
port, have been submit-
ted to the Environmen-
tal Protection Agency
for review.
That afternoon the
EPA concurred with the
tribes’ Public Utilities
Department to lift the
boil water notice effec-
tive immediately.
The water/waste-
water department is
moving forward with
seeking funding and
analyzing the water sys-
tem for rehabilitation
work.
This could result in
the the work being done
in phases until com-
pletely restored with an
upgraded system, in-
cluding all components
of the booster station
and related piping.

YouthBuild recruiting in W.S.
The YouthBuild fast-track
education and job training
program is recruiting Warm
Springs youth for the next
session, beginning in Septem-
ber. YouthBuild will hold its
first information session vir-
tually on Tuesday, June 23.
After this, the sessions
should be held in person at
the YouthBuild center in Sis-
ters. To schedule to partici-
pate in the June 23 virtual
session, call Briana at 928-
274-2128.
The in-person sessions
will then be on the follow-
ing Tuesdays at YouthBuild,
68797 George Cyrus Rd.,
Sisters: July 21 and August
25; and September 1, 8 and
15.
Tax filing deadline approaching
The tax filing deadline this
year is July 15, postponed
from April 15. As the date is
drawing near, the Internal
Revenue Service is reminding
all taxpayers who have yet to
file their 2019 federal tax re-
turn to file electronically now.
