Academy open house this evening
The Warm Springs Acad-
emy and school district are
hosting an open house this
Wednesday evening, Octo-
ber 9 from 5:30 to 7:30.
Dinner is at 5:30.
This is a chance for par-
ents to meet and talk with
teachers and other staff.
And the Warm Springs
Community Health staff
will be on hand offering flu
shots to the guests. In other

The Rez Fest music
festival is coming to
Warm Springs in No-
vember.
A number of
bands—Damage
Overdose of War m
Springs, Ethnic de Gen-
eration of Arizona,
and Bloodline of New
Mexico, for instance—
will perform.
The concert will be
on November 2,
starting at 5:30 p.m. at
the War m Springs
Community Center
Social Hall. This is a
drug- and alcohol-free
event.
All ages $10 at the
door.

The walk is Wednesday,
October 16 noon starting at
the Victims of Crime Ser-
vices office. The walk will
be around the campus.
They will have fruit and
water for walkers.
In War m Springs the
Grow Program is available
to connect individuals to
community resources. You
can stop by the Grow pro-
gram office to talk with
Lorien or Isaac.
They are located in the
trailer on Wasco Street next
to Warm Springs Children’s
Protective Services.
A Jefferson County Vet-
erans Service Outreach of-
ficer is in Warm Springs at
the Warm Springs Senior
Center on the third Tuesday
of each month, such as next
Tuesday, October 15.
