New focus at Warm Springs Telecom
Tim York is the new gen-
eral manager at the Warm
Springs Telecom, having
started with the Telecom
An immediate goal, Mr.
York said, is to greatly im-
prove the speed of Internet
service to Warm Springs
residences. He’s thinking
this can be done by the end
of the year, and maybe
sooner.
This one accomplishment
Tim York
would be a great improve-
ment for the Telecom, a first
step in rebranding the enter-
prise, he said.
Mr. York has many years
of experience in telecommu-
nications, starting out in 1979;
so he has seen first-hand the
rapid and dramatic develop-
ment of telecommunications
over the past almost 40 years.
Mr. York is an engineer,
now working with the
Telecom team to bring the
higher speed Internet to resi-
dential users. “We’re going to
fix this,” he says.
Mr. York lives at Crooked
River Ranch with wife
Tammy, who has six horses,
including a team of miniature
horses.
The War m Springs
Telecom enterprise began in
2010, and has seven employ-
ees. The Telecom serves
about 600 customers on the
reservation.
