The Fair and Rodeo will be in August, with Mary as the first-ever Warm Springs member as Wheeler Fair and Rodeo Queen. She and her family are raising items for the auction that will benefit the fair and rodeo. Her mom is Sonia Heath, who works at the Early Childhood Education Center. Mary’s grandmother is Catherine Watah. Forty-Ninth Pi-Ume-Sha The Forty-Ninth Annual Pi- Ume-Sha Powwow is just a couple of weeks away, during the week- end of June 22-24. Treaty Days this year is mark- ing the one-hundred and sixty-third anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of 1855, signed in that year on June 23. There will be the individual and team dance competitions, Ol’ Style and other specials, Men’s round Bustle and Women’s Shell Dress. Isaac Mitchell and John Katchia are the co-chairmen; arena direc- tors are Carlos Calica and Cap- tain Moody.
