For students
I wanted to extend a big
thank you to our community.
I am serving as the 2018
chaperone for the students
selected to travel in June to
Tomi City, Japan.
The students were chosen
via an application process with
the Madras Sister City Pro-
gram. The students had to
raise $2,500 each for their
trip to Japan. That is $10,000
total! Not a problem when
you have so much support.
Thank you for supporting
them with your participation
in their can drive and prize
raffle.
We would also like to thank
Indian Head Casino, Warm
Springs Power and Energy
Enterprise, Johnson O’
Malley Scholarship Commit-
tee, the City of Madras, Ro-
tary and Kiwanis for the gen-
erous donations.
These students are going
to have an amazing experi-
ence, that they will remember
for the rest of their life.
Thank you for showing them
how great it is to be part of a
supportive community!
Thanks.

Newspapers
Ellen Gilbert and I now
live in the same nursing

live here have the Eugene

read to us.
Ellen and I like it, because
it helps us be aware of what
we should know. We both
know a newspaper in all cit-
ies can be very helpful.

do not permanently ban me
from your store. Instead of
going someplace else, I would
rather just go into your store,
which I’ve missed, including
the deli food. I also go there
because your prices are good,
and I know the staff well.
They are very nice and help-
ful, another reason why I like
your store. Once more I am
very sorry.
