Three Educational Assistant I positions open at Academy
The Jefferson County
School District 509-J is seek-
ing to fill the positions of Edu-
cational Assistant I at the
Warm Springs Academy.
There are three Educational
Assistant I positions open at the
Academy. Note: These posi-
tions are grant funded, subject
to available of the funds.
The positions are 5.5 hours
per day, starting wage $12.88
an hour. Qualifications:
· High school diploma.
· Must be ‘highly qualified’
as described below.
· Looking for people to as-
sist with literacy in grades k-5.
· Literacy experience.
· Flexible, dependable and
positive attitude.
· Needs to want to make a dif-
ference, and willing to work on im-
proving student achievement at
the Warm Springs Academy. To be
‘highly qualified’:
An Educational Assistant re-
quires a high school diploma or the
equivalent, and one of the follow-
ing:
· An Associate’s degree.
· Two years of study at an in-
stitution of higher education (72
credit hours).
· Passed the District Assess-
ment for educational assistants in
the areas of reading, writing,
math and pedagogy

Qualifications or experi-
ence required: High school
diploma or GED; experience
in Life Skills preferred.

the equivalent, and one of the
following:
