Youth, adult basketball starting soon
Fifty-Fourth Holiday tourney
The MAC Recreation District,
Kiwanis and Lions 2018 Youth Bas-
ketball Program will run from Janu-
ary 20 through March 3. Final dead-
line to register is January 5.
The leagues are for girls and boys
in grades 3 and 4, and 5 and 6. They
also need volunteer coaches.
Details, scholarship info and reg-

The MAC Rec District will have
30 and over, and 18-29 adult bas-
ketball leagues running January 14-
March 11.

ketball, boys and girls, play at Cul-
ver.
Friday, January 5: Madras
High School freshman, JV and var-
sity girls’ basketball host Mountain
View. Games are at 4, 5:30 and 7
p.m. The boys teams take on
Mountain View on the road.
Tuesday, January 9: Madras
High School freshman, JV and var-
sity boys’ basketball hosts Sisters.
The girls teams travel to Sisters.
Wednesday, January 10: MHS
Sports: Boys’ and girls’ freshman
basketball teams play at Bend High
today
Also Wednesday: The Warm
Springs Academy will host Family
Engagement Night from 5-7 p.m.
January 10 is also Family Math
and Science Night at the Academy,
from 5-7 p.m.
Thursday, January 11: Madras
High School wrestlers have a meet
at Crook County at 4 p.m.

Men’s Basketball Tournament in December.

Language Bowl
The date for the 2018 Lan-
guage has been set for May
24, at the Wildhorse Resort.
The Culture and Heritage
Department Language pro-
gram is planning for the 2018
Language Bowl.
Culture and Heritage is
looking for volunteers to help
chaperone, coach, judge, etc.
The Language Bowl will be in
late May at the Wildhorse
