Native Wisdom film screening
Wisdom of the Elders will
present a Native Wisdom film
screening and community
consultation program. The
focus of the program, this
Wednesday evening, Novem-
ber 8, is climate change. The
screening will be from 5:30
to 7 p.m. at the Agency
Longhouse.
This is a free event, hon-
oring Native American
Month.

Important to know about health coverage
For full time Tribal Em-
ployees, you are eligible for
health coverage and other
benefits. Open Enrollment
documents must be submit-
ted to the tribes’ Compensa-
tion and Benefits Depart-
ment by December 1.
Anyone who is using
War m Springs Managed
Care and has tribal coverage
thru Tribal Third Party Ad-
ministrator system or
Healthcomp, has a $2,500
maximum payout for the
year from Healthcomp, then
Managed Care Program
covers after that.
If a patient has a referral
from Health and Wellness
provider, Healthcomp will
pay at 60 percent on each
encounter, and Managed
Care picks of the 40 percent.
If a patient chooses to go
out to another provider with-
out going through a Health
and Wellness provider,
Healthcomp will pay at 80
percent, and patient is re-
sponsible for the 20 percent
co-pay.
If there is ever any ques-
tion about this, Managed
Care and Comp and Benefits
are available to assist. You
can reach Managed Care at

Benefits at 541-553-3328;
and the Health and Wellness
Center insurance office is at
541-553-1196.
Anyone who is a student
of Higher Education must
provide proof to Managed
Care that he or she is a full-
time student. You must be
living on the reservation and
leave for school directly, in
order to continue coverage
from Managed Care. If you
discontinue school for a term
but continue to live else-
where, this “breaks ties” with
the tribe, and the person is
no longer eligible for Man-
aged Care.
