Employee health challenge starting
Warm Springs Community
Health is hosting an employee
wellness program.
Attend at least three sched-
uled classes, and take part in
the Project Zero Challenge at
the end of the year.
The first class is this Thurs-
day, February 16 at 5:15 p.m.
Youth activities
The Afterschool Pro-
gram at the Youth Center is
a free program Monday
through Friday from 4-5:30
p..m for youth in kindergar-
ten thru twelfth grade. It of-
fers activities and healthy nu-
tritious snacks.
Tuesday, February 21:
In Madras High School
sports, girls freshman, JV and
varsity basketball teams host
Crook County. Games are at
4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. The boys
teams play at Crook County.
Also on February 21: The
Buffalo Skywalkers All-Star
League, second- and third
grade teams, have games in
the afternoon.
The Warriors and Blazers
play at 4:30, followed by the
Spurs vs. the Lakers at 5:15.
And at 6 it’s the Thunder and
Bulls.
Tune into KWSO Tues-
day night, February 21, for
Madras White Buffalo bas-
ketball.
The varsity girls will host
Crook County. Listen live be-
ginning just before the 7 p.m.
tipoff.
in the Community Center so-
cial hall. The topic is Healthy
Eating.
There are others set for
April, August and October.

Timber committee meetings
The Warm Springs
Timber Committee
meets every first and
third Thursday of each
month. The meetings
begin at 9 a.m. at the
Forestry building, 4430
Upper Dry Creek Rd., at
the industrial park. Here
