Meadows planning tribal ski day in Feb.
Mt. Hood Meadows and
the Confederated Tribes will
host the Warm Springs Ski
Day on Monday, February
13.
The day includes transpor-
tation, rentals, lessons, lift
tickets and lunch, provided
by Mt. Hood Meadows.
The bus will leave the com-
munity center at 7:30 a.m.,
and return around 4 p.m.

ited. There are two required
forms to complete.

Skiers and snowboarders
should bring: Waterproof
coat and pants, gloves, hat
and scarf, goggles or sun-
glasses, synthetic fiber long
underwear (no cotton or
denim), synthetic socks (one
layer only, thin is best), per-
sonal water bottle and snacks.

Lincoln’s Powwow
celebrates 40 years
The Simnasho com-
munity will host the
Lincoln’s Birthday Pow-
wow Friday through Sun-
day, February 10-12 at the
Simnasho Longhouse.
New and rejoiners
time is at 5:30 on Friday,
Feb. 10.
The Lincoln’s Powwow
Committee is also
openign the Simnasho
Longhouse this Saurday,
February 4. This will be
for anyone needing to re-
lease themselves.

Rejoner ceremonies will
be followed by name-

On powwow week-
end, the grand entries will
be at 7 p.m. on Friday, 1

Over Fancy, Outgoing
Queen, Chicken Dance,
Men’s Grass, 18 and
Over Round Bustle and
a One-Man Hand Drum.
Simnasho will host the Winter Nights Round Dance
on Thursday, February 9. Stickman, Colin Chief. MC:
Solomon Scabbyrobe. Co-MC: Carlos Calica.
Round Dance will start at 7 p.m. Bring your drums
and good feelings. Midnight lunch will be served.

The Community Health Pro-
gram at the Health & Wellness
Center has a Behavior Health
Clinic today. Walk-in appoint-
ments are available between
1 and 5 p.m. Services include
screening, assessment, crisis
intervention, referrals to men-
tal health, medical, substance
treatment, or other community
resources. Children, adoles-
cents and adults are wel-
come.
The Jefferson County Li-
brary Community Film Center
will show the movie, Sully
(rated PG-13) on Friday night
at 7:30. The film center is in
the Rodriguez Annex, next to
the library in Madras. It is free
to attend.

Sports: Wrestlers will be at
the Be Awesome Duals in
Bend today at 10 a.m.
Sunday, Feb. 5
Today is the monthly free
spay and neuter clinic for
dogs in Warm Springs. Dogs
can be dropped off starting at
7:30 a.m., first come-first
served, at the Community Build-
ing in Greeley Heights. The
Humane Society will also be
available to take dogs that
need to be adopted from 8:30-
10 a.m.
The Warm Springs Food
Bank is located at the Presby-
terian Church. They are open
today from 11:30-1:30 today.
All food banks and pantries do
take donations of non-perish-
able food or cash
Monday, Feb. 6

ers at 5:15 and the Thunder
and Bulls play at 6. Kindergar-
ten and first graders have
games every Monday.
