Telecom and my dad

Ventures.
I was born in Madras
and have lived here since
2003. Before that we
lived in Arizona where
both my parent went to
school. My grandfather is
Theron Johnson, a CTWS
member and my grand-
mother is Erma Garcia.
I am a very active per-
son and when I’m not
busy I want to stay home
and read. I read every
chance I can.
I am currently finish-
ing up my freshman year
at Madras High School. I
have been participating in
Ballet for over 5 years and
have been on Pointe
Shoes for 2 years.
Hello, my name is
Jasmyn Reese. I would
like to be a tribal mem-
ber because our cultural
means a lot to me and I
would love to be apart
of this tribe and get to
know the histor y. It
would be a honor!
I am a graduating se-
nior at Redmond High
School who is a 4.0 stu-
dent. I have native affili-
ation to Yakima and
Hoopa also.

Florida where they have
a great Marine Biology
program along with a
JROTC program.

Summer meals program
The Summer Food Ser-
vice Meal program provides
nutritious summer meals to
all kids 18 and under for free.
Breakfast is served at the
Warm Springs Youth Center
in the Boys & Girls Club
from 8-8:30 and lunch from
11:45 to 12:30. Also in Ma-
dras at the Westside School,
lunch is from 12-12:30 and
an afternoon meal from 3-
3:30.

life. I went to ECE and
made some friends that I
am friends since we were
babies. I am currently fin-
ishing up my 5th grade
year at the WSK-8. My

I am learning Numu
and was part of this year’s
Language Bowl.
I am part of SMILE
and I play baseball. Before

Rope Reese. I am 12
years old and a sixth-
grader at Jefferson
County Middle School. I
now live with my dad on
Bear Drive, and I enjoy
participating in Indian
rodeos. I have recently
taken an interest in wres-
tling. Therefore I feel I
would be an active mem-
ber of the community.
I moved away with
my mom for a few short
years, but my dad’s fam-
ily, who are all tribal mem-
bers, all live here, which
is where I want and
choose to be. When I was
born I lived with my par-
ents at my grandmother
Libby Chase’s home. I
would like to be an en-
rolled member of the
Warm Springs Tribe, as I
have always grown up
and been around here.
I attended Early
Childhood as an infant
and also grade school at
Warm Springs Elemen-
tary. I have many friends
from Warm Springs. I
want to have the honor
to be able to fish and
hunt with my dad, but to
also be able to do that

baseball season started I
was part of the Warrior
Spirit program. I have
gone root dig ging, I
learned how to make my
own moccasins and have
been to the camp. I like
to play video games with
my friends.

Cody Reese. I am 11

tion. My father is Frank

is a tribal member. Un-
fortunately, I do not have
enough Warm Springs
blood to be automatically
enrolled. I would like to
be enrolled in this tribe
and to be recognized as a
tribal member of the
Confederated Tribes of
Warm Springs.
I am proud to be a
Native American. I am
very excited to learn
more about my culture
and our nation. I am cur-
rently an honor student
at Buff Inter mediate
School, and have been
able to maintain good
grades for all my years in
grade school. I have also
maintained perfect atten-
dance during that time as
well.
I am very active in
sports and excited for
what the future has in
store for me. As an en-
rolled member I will
honor my heritage and
respect my land and my
nation.

The Warm Springs Graduation Banquet for
2016 graduates is this Friday, June 10 from 5:30
p.m. at the Agency Longhouse. Graduates for 509-
J and Wasco County High Schools should provide
copies of diplomas to Carroll Dick at High Educa-
tion. Graduates of other high schools, boarding
schools, higher education institutions and voca-
tional/technical schools should provide diplomas
to Becky Picard in the Tribal Council Office.
Senior Breakfast, Shopping Day
The Senior Breakfast
and Shopping Day is this
Thursday, June 9.
Breakfast is from 8-10
a.m. at the Senior Center, and
the van will leave after. There
will not be a senior lunch on
this day.
