Supreme Court to hear tribal cases
The U.S. Supreme Court
has scheduled oral arguments
in two Indian law cases.
Menominee Indian Tribe
of Wisconsin v. US will be
heard December 1. The case
will determine how far back
the Indian Health Service
must go to pay the
Menominee Nation of Wis-
consin for contract support
costs in self-determination
contracts.
Dollar General Corpora-
tion v. Mississippi Band of
Choctaw Indians will be heard
ECE taking
Halloween candy
ECE is asking for
Halloween Candy Do-
nations for its annual
Pumpkin Parade on Fri-
day, October 30. Dona-
tions of any packaged,
nut-free candy can be
dropped of at the ECE
front desk.

braska have been diminished.

The Omaha Tribe of Ne-
braska welcomed basketball
stars Shoni Schimmel and
Jude Schimmel to the reser-
vation in October.

hosted a basketball clinic for
youth at the Umonhon Na-
tion Public School in Macy,

their parents, they also
