The election will deter- mine two positions on the five-member Jefferson County 509-J school board. Seven candidates have filed for the two open positions. The course, sponsored by the American Associa- tion of Retired Persons, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Family Resource Center. This is for drivers 50 and over. You will learn de- fensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, new traffic laws and rules of the road. There are no tests to pass. You simply sign up and learn.
