Costume, dance contests
The Recreation Pro-
gram Employee Halloween
Costume Contest will be
during the noon hour on
Halloween.
They will have a light
lunch and a Zombie Walk.
Costume categories are:
Best Face Paint; Best
Homemade Costume;
Scariest Costume; Retro
80s; & Best Storybook
The Warm Springs Hal-
loween Carnival is this Fri-
day at the Community Cen-
ter. Costume Contest judg-
ing starts at 7:30 p.m. Booth
set-up starts at 2:30, and
games start at 5:30.
Recreation this year is also
hosting “Trunk or Treating”
at the community center ball
fields, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
There will be prizes for the
best three decorated vehicles.
The Early Childhood Edu-
cation Center Pumpkin Pa-
rade will be at 10 a.m. on
Halloween.
Warm Springs Recreation hosted the Great Pumpkin Party last week at the
Community Center.
Simnasho Party
The Simnasho community
is getting ready for the an-
nual Simnasho Halloween
Party.
Gather all goblins at the
Simnasho Fire Hall at 5:30
p.m. for trick-or-treating
around the loop. (For fami-
lies who live outside commu-
nity, if you bring candy you
will be shown the spot where
you can hand out the candy
to the trick-or-treaters.)
Starting at 6:30 p.m. at the
Simnasho Fire Hall will be the
potluck dinner, followed by
some games with prizes. Ev-
eryone is welcome.

The Monster Mash
Dance Contest will be at
8:30 Halloween Night at
the Community Center.
First place wins a tablet;
second place wins an iPod
Touch, and third place
takes home an iPod
Shuffle. The contest is
open to everyone.

Volunteers are always wel-
come. The party is also look-
ing for donations of prizes.
At the casino
Indian Head Casino is
hosting a Halloween Costume
Contest. First place wins
$250; second place $150, and
third $50.
Categories are: scariest,
most creative, funniest, and
most original. There will be
a total of $1,800 in cash
prizes.
Rules: no masks, face paint
allowed but not covering the
entire face, and no weapon
objects.
Also on October 31 at the
casino, there will be live mu-
sic until 1 a.m. No cover
charge; must be 21 or over.
