K-8 Academy
construction
The Warm Springs K-8 Academy is on sched
ule for completion in four months: The comple
tion date is estimated at July 18.
One area o f the 80,000-squarè-foot school—
the classrooms for the kindergarten through sec
ond grades— are already painted on the inside.
Meanwhile, construction workers are preparing
the water line that will serve the school. A new
water tower will be constructed near the existing
one, and the line will follow Chukar and then cut
across a lot to the school. A good view o f the
school is from the main bus entrance area, off
Tenino.
The weather has been good lately, allowing for
the w ork to continue at a good pace. Kirby
Nagelhout Construction Co. o f Bend is thè gen
eral contractor on the $20 million project.
