General Council scheduled for Nov. 18
A General Council m eet­
ing on the 2014 tribal budget
is currently scheduled for
M onday, Nov. 18 at the
Agency Longhouse, starting
at 7 p.m.
T he districts held their
2014 budget meetings earlier
in November. The budget for
next year involves a major cut
in expenditures, including per
capita.
Tribal Council was sched­
uled to hear a finance update
on Wednesday o f this week,
Feb. 13. T h e C ouncil has
been working with Finance
on budget matters-;—but for
2014 and the present year—
for the past several months.

I Update on the Confluence
Project, also this Wednesday,
Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m. T he
Confluence Project is a col­
laborative effort o f Pacific
N orthw est tribes, renowned
artist Maya Lin, civic groups
from W ashington and O r­
egon and other artists, archi­
tects and landscape designers.
Lin designed the V ietnam
Memorial Wall in Washington,
D.C., among many other pub­
lic art and memorial projects.
T he project will include
seven points along 300 miles
in the Columbia River Basin.
O f particular interest to the
C onfederated Tribes is the
C onfluence P roject site at
Celilo. The story o f the place
will be told through art intern
preting the natural and tribal
history.
