Kah-Nee-Ta is now selling
its Canoe Excursion Package
in an arrangement with the
Canoe Family and the Mu
seum at Warm Springs.
The package, which is ex
tremely limited, will allow up
to four people per weekend
to experience a canoe adven
ture.
“The excursion will hap
pen once every Saturday, May
through June,” resort GM
Carlos Smith said. “It’s the
first kind o f package like this
that has ever been offered,
and space is limited.”
The package includes a
room, lunch, transportation,
and a ride in the canoe.
“Guests who purchase this
package will leave from the
Museum. They will board the
canoe at Pelton Park, and will
go on a three-hour ride.” ■
Proceeds will help to fund
training for the canoe family
in preparation for the next
journey.
This year the journey is
hosted by the Squaxin Island
Tribe. Canoes are scheudled
to land on July 29.
