Indian Head Dedication Day
SHUTTLE
|
The Kah-Nee-Ta shuttles, this one driven by Angie
Smith, were busy on opening day.
Employees wait inside, and the guests outside, as the ribbon is readied for the ceremonial cutting.
The casino parking lot was filled on Super Bowl Sunday.
Because of the cold, a tent with heaters was set up for guests to hear the dedication day comments.
The casino is helping businesses at the Plaza, which
have struggled in the past to draw visitors. Most
recently, Brigette Whipple opened a new shop at the
Plaza. Her business, Salmon King, features salmon
for sale, beadworkand Native American clothes.
Congressman Greg Walden was on hand for the opening, with
Councilmen Buck Smith, Chairman, and Ron Suppah, Vice-Chair.
