- Hunter Survey -
The Natural Resources Branch, and the Fish
and Wildlife .Committee of the Confederated
Tribes rely on hunter surveys in recommending
hunting regulations to Tribal Council.
An issue has been a lack of response to. the
surveys. Regulations adopted by Tribal Council
for the 2011 season strongly recommend that
hunters complete and return a survey form.
‘ W e xely,on the surveys, in conjunction .with
other data, to estimate- populations,” said Greg
Bjornstrom, wildlife biologist. “And we’re trying
to get a handle on what has been harvested.”
For the 2010 hunting season, the survey re
sponse was about 30-40 percent.- This year the
response has been, very low/ and Natural Re
sources and Fish and Wildlife are asking for help
from hunters.
At the bottom of the page is a survey that can
be returned to the Natural Resources ’
Branch. The maps can be used to
assist with the unit and zone desig
nations.
Survey forms can be dropped off
at Natural Resources; or mailed to:
