ond Annual Northwest Indian
Invitational G olf Tourna­
ment earlier this month.
Cruz Bocanegra o f M a­
dras won the $500 champion­
ship prize with a score of 148.
Jayso n Ray and K elly
W etcher tied for second
(gross) with scores of 151.
Emerson Miller of Warm
Springs won the first net prize
of $400 with a score of 145.

Jaco b y E llsbury won the
Comeback Player of the Year
Award for his bounce-back
2011 seasons.
Ellsbury said he was grate­
ful to receive the award. “This
is a tremendous honor,” he said
on his Twitter page. “Thank
you to writers who voted for
me, my teammates and fans.”
Ellsbury plays outfield for
the Boston Red Sox. This year
he achieved some Red Sox
firsts, hitting 30 homers and
driving in 100 runs from the
leadoff spot, and joining the 30-
30 club (30 homers, 30 steals)
by stealing 39 bases.
Ellsbury posted career-bests
in most offensive categories this
season after playing just 18
games in 2010 because of inju­
ries.
The 28-year-old Ellsbury, in
his fifth big league season with
the Boston Red Sox, batted .321
with 32 homers and 105 RBIs.
He also led the majors with 364
total bases and 83 extra-base hits.
Lance Berkm an was also
named MLB Comeback Player
of the Year.

14 tournament at the Madras Aquatic Center. Team
members TaSheena George and Shania Tom hold their
trophies following the tourney (team member Elyse
Bagley not pictured). The girls went 3-0 in the
competition.
