Indigenous Peoples program offers
financial planning scholarship
T he Social Investm ent F o
rum Foundation is a national
nonprofit organization that con
ducts research and educational
outreach to advance socially and
environmentally responsible in
vesting.
T he foundation’s Indigenous
Peoples’ program seeks to ad
dress the cultural disconnect
between Native and non-Native
peoples, specifically in the area
o f socially and environmentally
responsible investing.
In 2008 the Social Invest
m ent F orum Foundation cre
ated a scholarship fund to en
able a Native Am erican student
to enroll in the M entor P ro
gram , à College o f Financial
Planning course o f instruction.
