m useum will be closed Feb.
23-28.
T he closure is necessary as
the m useum will be updating
the audio sound system in the
m ain exhibits area.
For the year 2009, the m u­
seum will be open on Tues­
days through Sundays, and
will be closed on Mondays.
Healthy K ids Club welcomes students
T he Healthy Kids Club for
first- and second-graders will
g a th e r fro m 8:30 to 9:45
th ro u g h May o n elem entary
school late start days.
T he gatherings will be at the
OSU Extension Office in the
E ducation building.
Students will learn about the
im p o r ta n c e o f b re a k fa s t
through reading and activities.
Class is lim ited to 30 stu­
dents, and sign up is required.

office to pick up a registration
packet.

Indigenous Peoples program offers
financial planning scholarship
T he Social Investm ent F o ­
rum Foundation is a national
nonprofit organization that con­
ducts research and educational
outreach to advance socially and
environmentally responsible in­
vesting.
T he foundation’s Indigenous
Peoples’ program seeks to ad­
dress the cultural disconnect
between Native and non-Native
peoples, specifically in the area
o f socially and environmentally
responsible investing.
In 2008 the Social Invest­
m ent F orum Foundation cre­
ated a scholarship fund to en­
able a Native Am erican student
to enroll in the M entor P ro ­
gram , à College o f Financial
Planning course o f instruction.

$3,885— the cost o f the College
for Financial Planning’s compre­
hensive O nline M en to r p ro ­
gram.
This is an online instructor-
led class that offers students the
opportunity to experience the
structure and insight o f class­
room instruction w ith the con­
venience o f being able to attend
from w ork or home.
In order to apply, you will
need to subm it the following in­
formation:
A pplication form ; 400-500
w ord essay; college transcript;
two letters o f recom m endation
(e ith er academ ic o r p r o f e s ­
sional); resume; p ro o f o f tribal
membership.
Applications m ust be post­

independent panel o f judges in­
volved in SRI, which will include
re p re s e n ta tio n fro m N a tiv e
