Comedy duo returns to Kah-Nee-Ta

at Kah-Nee-Ta High D esert Re
sort and Casino.

Kah-Nee-Ta.

ability to make people laugh
even if it comes from laughing
at them selves— a trait w hich
first drew th em to g e th e r in
1968.

The two ended up playing to
gether in a band, working the
bars and college parties. T he
band, w ith a repertoire o f 10
or 12 songs needed help filling
in the time; so Bruce and Terry

Soon their comedy became
a bigger draw than the band and

comedy team was born.
The two have been perform
ing together since those college
days, and have been compared
to the likes o f “cotton and poly
ester,” “b o u rb o n and w ater,”
“peas and carrots,” “Sears and
Roebuck,”
During the late 70's they pol
ished their act at the famous
Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
Terry points out that “the place
is sort o f a comedy college and
is a great place to fine tune your
material and see if the bits are
working or not.”
H e said, “We probably get
m ost o f our ideas from news
papers and television. Some ab
surdity will spark an idea and
them we’ll w ork it into some
thing. A testing ground like the
Comedy Store is a perfect place
to try things out.”
For the past 26 years, the two
h av e e n te rta in e d au d iences
from coast to coast— sharing
stages with such superstars as
G arth Brooks, the O ak Ridge
B oys, C h arlie D an iels, an d
Randy Travis.
T heir show is a lively, fast-
paced mixture o f comedy bits,
and social and political commen
tary entwined with original songs.
Williams and Ree will per
form in the G old Ballroom at
Kah-Nee-Ta on Feb. 28. D oors
open at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for general
admission and $20 for reserved
seating.
