“T h ey ’ve g ro w n up o n the
b a s k e tb a ll f l o o r p la y in g t o ­
gether,” O ste r said. “T h a t’s why
it w as so easy to build a family
atm osphere.”
T h o u g h h e ’s coached o th er
team s, O s te r said, “I ’ve never
seen one as close as they are.”
A ccord ing to M ade, ‘W e ’re
ju s t c o m f o r ta b le w ith e a c h
o th er— playing w ith each o th er
a n d ju s t b e in g a r o u n d e ac h
other.”
‘W in o r lose, w e’ll still stick
as a team ,” M ade added.
A s the only freshm an o n the
varsity team , Scott said, she feels
she’s gaining experience and also
b o n d in g w ith h e r fellow players.
‘W e all really are like sisters,”
Scott said.
‘W e all g e t along really well,
so i t ’s a lo t o f fu n ,” A h e r n
agreed. “B ecause w e’re so close
w e’ve com e to g eth e r as a team
and w e all believe in each other.”
W ahnetah said th eir attitudes
help th e m succeed as a team .
“W e p u s h o u rse lv e s a n d w e
d o n ’t get dow n o n each other,”
she explained.
Yallup agreed, and said their
m entality helps th em succeed as
a group.
“W e’re all a tea m ,” Y allup
said. ‘W e d o n ’t really u n d e res­
tim ate anyone o n th e team .”

w ins— and h o p in g fo r a playoff
spot.
